Profile & Story

Weingut Dönnhoff is one of Germany's most celebrated Nahe estates, farming ten Grosse Lage (grand cru) vineyards under the VDP classification. Niederhäuser Klamm is a steep, narrow site with volcanic porphyry and decomposed slate soils that produces racy, mineral-driven Riesling. Helmut Dönnhoff has led the estate since 1971, with son Cornelius now sharing winemaking duties.

Tasting Notes

Laser-precise Nahe Riesling — pure slate and white stone fruit with a bracing, crystalline finish. Restaurant's Notes: White peach, lime zest, crushed slate, verbena; lasercut acidity with crystalline purity.

Pairing Recommendation

Pairs well with sashimi, oysters, or a simply grilled trout.
