Dr. Pauly-Bergweiler is a historic Mosel estate based in Bernkastel-Kues, farming steep slate vineyards across 15 sites between Brauneberg and Erden, including parcels neighboring the famed Bernkasteler Doctor and Wehlener Sonnenuhr vineyards. Each site's fruit is fermented separately in small stainless-steel tanks at low, controlled temperatures to preserve aromatic diversity. At more than two decades of age, this 2001 vintage shows the classic evolution of fine Mosel Riesling toward petrol, honey, and dried-fruit complexity.
