Profile & Story
Eleven Confessions is Sine Qua Non's estate vineyard in the Sta. Rita Hills, planted in 2000–2001 by Manfred and Elaine Krankl as their first vineyard acquisition. The 2020 Grenache carries roughly 13% Syrah, 3% Petite Sirah and a touch of Gelber Muskateller, fermented with 27% whole clusters and aged 38 months in 41% new French oak, mostly large demi-muids. Just 835 cases and 228 magnums were made; Jeb Dunnuck awarded it a perfect 100 points.
Tasting Notes
Opulent and aromatic, with dark berries, roasted herbs and a savory, iron-tinged core over full-bodied, velvety richness. Restaurant's Notes: Bold and robust; rich in flavors of ripe red fruits (strawberry and cherry), nuanced earthiness, spice, and sometimes floral notes.

Reserve for a special-occasion pairing with wood-grilled lamb barbacoa or other intensely flavored, slow-cooked meats.
