Profile & Story

Fossacolle is a small, family-run estate in Tavernelle, south of Montalcino, farmed across just four hectares by three generations of the Marchetti and Bambagioni families. Its Rosso di Toscana 'Riesci' is a Sangiovese-based IGT wine made with the same traditional winemaking care the estate applies to its Brunello di Montalcino.

Tasting Notes

A rustic, herb-scented Tuscan red with bright acidity and fine tannin. Restaurant's Notes: Sour cherry, red plum, blood orange peel, dried oregano, rose, leather, a touch of balsamic; medium body with bright acidity and chalky, fine tannins.

Pairs with roasted pork, pasta al forno, or aged cheeses.
