Foxen was founded in 1985 by Bill Wathen and Dick Dore at the historic Rancho Tinaquaic in Santa Barbara County, and is regarded as one of the state's pioneering Pinot Noir specialists. This Santa Maria Valley bottling is primarily sourced from the legendary Bien Nacido Vineyard, one of California's most prized cool-climate sites, with fruit fermented in small open-top tanks and aged in a mix of French oak barrels. It is Foxen's entry-level appellation Pinot Noir, offering an accessible expression of the winery's Santa Maria Valley style.
