Greg Linn Wines began as a California producer of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah before founder Greg Linn expanded into Greg Linn Imports, a negociant-style venture through which he makes wine directly in Italy's Piedmont (Barbaresco and Barolo) and now Bordeaux and Champagne under his own label. The 2022 Bordeaux is an AOC Medoc bottling, a Cabernet-based blend reflecting the appellation's classic gravelly, Left Bank structure. According to the producer's own tasting notes, the wine shows a floral character alongside black plum, dark chocolate, saffron and orange peel, with black raspberry and cedar box layered through a fruit-and-acid-balanced finish.

Pairing Recommendation

Pairs well with grilled lamb chops or a Oaxacan mole negro, where its structure and dark fruit stand up to rich, savory sauces.
