Guado al Tasso is Marchesi Antinori's flagship estate in the Bolgheri DOC on Tuscany's coast, a property that entered the Antinori family through Piero Antinori's mother in the 1930s. The wine is a Bordeaux-style blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and an increasingly prominent share of Cabernet Franc, grown on the alluvial, gravelly soils of the so-called 'Bolgheri amphitheatre.' The estate's coastal proximity moderates the climate, contributing to a wine that pairs richness with freshness.
