Profile & Story

Il Borro is a Tuscan estate in the Valdarno (part of the Ferragamo family's Il Borro property); Lamelle was the estate's first white wine, named for the shell-fossil-rich, metamorphic soils of its vineyard. The wine is fermented in stainless steel with a period of skin contact and lees aging, seeing no oak and no malolactic fermentation, to preserve freshness and minerality.

Tasting Notes

A crisp, mineral Tuscan Chardonnay made without oak, letting the shell-fossil soils show through cleanly. Restaurant's Notes: Meyer lemon, green apple, white flowers, almond, subtle flint; crisp, refined, mineral finish.

Good with ceviche, fresh cheeses, or light fish dishes.
