Bodegas Juan Gil, founded in 1916 in Jumilla, is one of southeastern Spain's leading Monastrell producers, farming vineyards on the high-altitude, limestone slopes of the Sierra de la Peñarrubia. Etiqueta Plata (Silver Label), formerly known as '12 Meses,' is sourced from vines over 40 years old, certified organic and vegan, and aged 12 months in French oak.
Tasting Notes
A rich, smoky Monastrell with ripe dark fruit and firm, polished tannin. Restaurant's Notes: Black plum, blueberry, fig, licorice, dried thyme, cocoa powder; rich and ripe with firm, ripe tannins and a savory, smoky edge.
