Pierre Gaillard is a leading grower in the northern Rhône, based in Malleval and best known for Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph and Condrieu. Les Gendrines comes off granitic hillside sites, hand-farmed and raised in barrel with minimal new oak — a house style built on freshness and mineral definition rather than weight.

Tasting Notes

Fresh and round, with ripe apricot, lemon and a touch of honeyed richness from barrel aging. Restaurant's Notes: Ripe raspberry, plum, garrigue, white pepper, licorice; medium-bodied with supple tannins and a spicy finish.
