Profile & Story
Lingua Franca was founded in 2015 by Master Sommelier Larry Stone with winemaking input from Burgundy's Dominique Lafon, farming a dry-farmed estate vineyard organically on Jory, Gelderman and Nekia soils in the Eola-Amity Hills. The Estate Pinot Noir draws from several parcels across the property, wild-yeast fermented in concrete and steel before aging in a mix of new and neutral French oak. Winemaker Thomas Savre works with minimal intervention to let the site's volcanic terroir speak clearly.
Tasting Notes
A heady scent of roses and red fruit opens onto a dense, powerful palate of dark plum, pomegranate and raspberry, closing with wet stone and savory herbs. Restaurant's Notes: rose petal, dark plum, pomegranate, and raspberry with a savory, mineral-driven finish.
