Profile & Story
Hacienda La Lomita was founded in 2009 by Fernando Pérez Castro in the heart of Valle de Guadalupe and is one of the few certified-organic wineries in Mexico. Winemaker Gustavo González, formerly of Tuscany's Masseto, farms estate vineyards on a northwest-facing mid-valley slope in the ejido of Francisco Zarco, emphasizing site expression and sustainability. The Cabernet Sauvignon is built for freshness and structure rather than sheer power.
Tasting Notes
Cassis and black plum with a touch of dried herb and mineral lift, medium-plus body with fine, focused tannins. Restaurant's Notes: Blackcurrant, black cherry, eucalyptus, cocoa, cedar; medium-plus body with polished tannins and a minty lift.
