Maison Louis Latour is the largest single landholder in Corton-Charlemagne, with 10.5 hectares on the south-east-facing, Aloxe-Corton side of the hill — vines that replaced Aligoté and Pinot Noir torn out after phylloxera in the late 19th century. The wine completes malolactic fermentation and ages 8-10 months in Louis Latour's own cooperage, entirely new French oak, from vines averaging 30 years old on stony limestone soils.
