Profile & Story

The Martinelli family has farmed grapes in the Russian River Valley since 1887, when Giuseppe Martinelli and Luisa Vellutini arrived from Tuscany and began planting what are now some of the region's oldest vineyards. Bella Vigna, meaning 'beautiful vines,' is curated from Martinelli's own estate Pinot Noir vineyards and fermented with wild yeast before resting in 70% new French oak for a year, unfined and unfiltered. Winemaker Bryan Kvamme crafts the blend to be an approachable expression of the family's multigenerational Sonoma Coast and Russian River Valley sites.
