Profile & Story

Michele Chiarlo's Palas is the winery's traditionally styled entry Barolo, blended from Nebbiolo grown around Monforte, Verduno, and La Morra. It macerates in steel with a gentle 'shower' cap-wetting system, then ages a minimum of three years including 24 months in large oak casks before release, and has earned 93 points from James Suckling.

Tasting Notes

An aristocratic, old-school Barolo with silky texture beneath firm tannin. Restaurant's Notes: Red cherry, violet, orange peel, balsamic, cedar; silky core with refined tannins and persistent spice.

Pairing Recommendation

Pair with braised beef in Barolo sauce or a wild boar ragu.
