Il Poggio di Gavi is a small, women-run estate in the Rovereto hills at the heart of the Gavi DOCG, converted from a family hunting reserve into vineyard by Franca Odone in the 1970s and now run by her daughter Francesca. 'Nuvole sul Poggio' comes from a single southeast-facing, clay-soil vineyard trained by the Guyot method, made for young, crisp drinking.
Tasting Notes
A youthful, energetic Gavi built for early drinking — green apple and citrus blossom over a chalky, mineral base. Restaurant's Notes: Lemon zest, green apple, pear skin, almond, sea spray; crisp and mineral with a clean, zesty finish.
