Ramey Wine Cellars, founded by David Ramey, is a Sonoma benchmark for barrel-fermented, native-yeast Chardonnay. The Russian River Valley bottling is a blend of several cool, low-vigor Goldridge-loam sites (including Westside Farms and Dutton Sebastopol), whole-cluster pressed and aged about 12 months in roughly 10% new French oak with full malolactic fermentation.

Tasting Notes

A textbook Sonoma Chardonnay — barrel-worked richness held in check by the cool Russian River Valley's natural acidity. Restaurant's Notes: Ripe apple and peach, baking spice, vanilla, balanced oak; creamy mid-palate with fresh acidity.

Pairing Recommendation

Excellent with roasted poultry, seafood in cream sauce, or mole blanco.
