Profile & Story
RGMX was founded in 1998 by the Rivero Gonzáles family in Valle de Parras, Coahuila, one of Mexico's oldest wine regions, first planted in the 1500s; the organically farmed estate vineyards sit at roughly 5,000 feet in sandy clay-silt soils. 'RGMX Tinto,' the winery's founding wine, blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc and is aged 24 months in French oak under winemaker Matías Utrero Carmona, with a low-intervention, regenerative-agriculture approach.
Tasting Notes
Savory and structured, this Parras Valley blend offers dark berry fruit laced with pepper and dried herbs beneath a frame of toasted French oak. Restaurant's Notes: Dark berries, peppercorn, dried thyme, and toasty oak; medium body with savory lift.
