ROAR was founded by Gary and Rosella Franscioni, who began farming in the Santa Lucia Highlands with the conviction that the appellation had a bright future for Pinot Noir. The Sierra Mar Vineyard, planted by Gary Franscioni in 2007, sits at the highest elevation ROAR farms -- roughly 1,100 feet -- on a dramatic hillside plateau surrounded by avocado and citrus orchards. The 2022 vintage is aged 10 months in French oak (62% new) and was rated 95 points by The Wine Independent.
Tasting Notes
