Profile & Story

Sandhi was founded in 2010 by Rajat Parr, longtime wine director for Michael Mina Restaurants, Charles Banks, and winemaker Sashi Moorman, with a focus on small-production, terroir-driven Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Sta. Rita Hills. This village-level bottling blends fruit from roughly six vineyards in the southwestern part of the appellation, including Rita's Crown, Rinconada, and Mt. Carmel, made with the same attention to detail as Sandhi's single-vineyard wines. It is vinified to showcase the freshness and finesse characteristic of Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir.

Tasting Notes

Perfumed with raspberry, strawberry, tea leaf, and potpourri, with a light-bodied palate of spicy, herbal fruit and chalky tannins. Restaurant's Notes: A delicate sta. rita hills pinot noir with red berry perfume, herbal accents, and a fine, chalky finish.
