Profile & Story
Scielo is a red-wine line from RGMX, the winery founded in 1998 by the Rivero González family in the Valle de Parras, Coahuila — one of the oldest wine-growing regions in the Americas, planted since the 1500s. The estate vineyards sit at roughly 5,000 feet and are farmed organically without herbicides or pesticides. This Tinto is a youthful, unoaked blend led by Syrah with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in the 2023 vintage, made by winemaker Matías Utrero Carmona.
Tasting Notes
Fresh and fruit-forward, with juicy dark berries and a soft, easy-drinking finish. Restaurant's Notes: Blackberry and plum with notes of chocolate and a hint of spice; smooth tannins provide a rich texture and a lingering finish.
