Profile & Story
The Terraces is a small family winery on a historic Rutherford estate in Napa Valley that has grown wine grapes for over 140 years, with the Crull family at the helm since 2001. Despite its Napa home, the Chardonnay is sourced from the cooler Sonoma Coast (Taylor's Crown Vineyard) and made in a deliberately lean, largely unoaked style the winery calls "Chardo-not," aged in neutral oak with no malolactic fermentation.
Tasting Notes
A fruit-driven, purposefully unoaked Chardonnay that trades butter and toast for pure tropical and orchard fruit. Restaurant's Notes: Golden apple, pineapple, honeysuckle, baking spice, subtle toast; medium plus body, silky texture.
Pairing Recommendation
Works well with roast pork, grilled pineapple glazes, or creamy chicken dishes.
