Profile & Story
Vale do Bomfim is produced by the Symington family under their historic Dow's Port brand, sourced from the same Douro vineyards, Quinta do Bomfim and Quinta da Senhora da Ribeira, that traditionally supply Dow's Vintage Port. It was originally made only for the family's own enjoyment and released commercially after years of enthusiastic feedback from guests. The 2020 blend leads with Touriga Nacional alongside Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca, aged briefly in oak before bottling.
Tasting Notes
Bright cherry and black pepper spice make for an easy-drinking, food-friendly Douro red. Restaurant's Notes: Black plum, blueberry, baking spice, dried thyme, cocoa dust; juicy core with a savory, spicy finish.
