2018 Sergio Zingarelli Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG
Sangiovese
Rocca delle Macìe

About the Wine
The Gran Selezione Sergio Zingarelli is the ultimate expression of Rocca delle Macìe wines, with a history that goes back a long way: it is the result of years of work in the vineyards of the Le Macìe estate in Castellina in Chianti, where Sangiovese expresses itself in a unique and unrepeatable way. This wine encapsulates the best of the territory, its grape varieties, and the work of man. After 10 days of alcoholic fermentation and 21 days of post-fermentative maceration on the skins, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks. It is then aged in small barrels of 25 Hl French oak (Troncais) for 18 months, followed by a minimum of 20 months of bottle aging.
