Profile & Story
Vignobles Terrassous farms the Aspres hills of the Eastern Pyrénées, at the foot of Mont Canigou, and is known for aged vins doux naturels from Rivesaltes. Their Hors d'Âge bottlings are built mostly from Grenache Blanc, matured for years in barrel under a slow oxidative regime that concentrates and deepens the wine.
Tasting Notes
Amber to whiskey-gold in color, with notes of golden raisin, bitter orange, almond and browned sugar developing into caramel, toasted nuts and dried fig with extended barrel age.
Pairing Recommendation
A classic match for aperitifs, Roquefort-type cheeses, orange-cream fritters, Asian cuisine and chocolate desserts, or simply enjoyed as a digestif.
