Domaine Le Galantin has been run by Céline Devictor and her brother Jérôme Pascal since 1999, farming thirty hectares of terraced, hand-harvested vineyards organically (uncertified) and HVE-certified in Le Plan du Castellet, Bandol. The Rouge is 90% Mourvèdre and 10% old-vine Grenache, fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged 22 months in large foudres and demi-muids.
Tasting Notes
A structured, Mourvèdre-driven Bandol, built for extended barrel aging in keeping with the appellation's traditionally long-lived style.
Pairing Recommendation
Producer suggests pairing with fine red meats such as lamb and ribeye steak, wild boar, duck and other game birds, and Provençal daube.
