Hedges Family Estate, founded in 1987 by Tom and Anne-Marie Hedges, was one of the first wineries planted on Washington's Red Mountain and helped pioneer the AVA; the estate now farms biodynamically. The 'Red Mountain' bottling blends estate fruit — roughly 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 5% Syrah, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec — from the Hedges, Bel'Villa, Jolet, Les Gosses and Magdalena vineyards, all within Red Mountain.
