Profile & Story

Knuttel Family is the value-driven, sub-appellation line from winemaker William Knuttel, launched in 2014 alongside his eponymous ultra-premium label. The Russian River Valley Chardonnay is blended primarily from Windsor Oaks Vineyard in the Chalk Hill sub-AVA, with fruit from Tom Larson's organically farmed Sonoma Carneros vineyard added for structure and spice, then barrel-fermented in French oak in a classic Burgundian style.

Tasting Notes

Well-articulated flavors of lemon custard, tropical fruit, and orange blossom, with a structured palate adding nutmeg, ripe lemon, and spicy oak through an elegant finish.
