Johann Donabaum has run his family estate in Spitz, in the Wachau, since taking it over at age 20, building a reputation for Gruner Veltliner and Riesling from the steep terraces of the Spitzer Graben since 1996. This Federspiel-level Riesling (a Wachau classification for dry, medium-bodied wines) comes from those steep vineyard sites and is aged around four months in steel tank on fine lees.
