Profile & Story

Wachter-Wiesler is a family estate in southern Burgenland, farming 16 hectares around Eisenberg and Deutsch Schützen and certified organic since the 2018 vintage. Ried Reihburg is a Reserve-tier single-vineyard site on a south-facing slope of green and blue slate with clay and higher iron content, contributing to Blaufrankisch of notable finesse and minerality.

Tasting Notes

Sour cherry and juniper on the nose, with a tight structure and fine tannin; red forest-berry fruit, refined acidity and a salty finish.
