Profile & Story
The Arnaldo Rivera label was created by Terre del Barolo -- a growers' cooperative founded in 1958 in Castiglione Falletto -- to honor Arnaldo Rivera (1919-1987), a local schoolteacher, 36-year village mayor and the cooperative's founder; the label was relaunched in 2017 to carry on his legacy. Undicicomuni ('eleven communes') blends Nebbiolo from vineyards across all eleven townships of the Barolo zone.
Tasting Notes
Spiced cedar, leather and scorched earth on the nose; a wild, savory palate of crushed raspberry, figs, cinnamon and star anise, with velvety, dusty tannins and fresh acidity.
