Profile & Story
Jean-Luc and Anne Colombo built their reputation modernizing Cornas in the northern Rhone before returning, in 2003, to Jean-Luc's roots near Marseille to plant vineyards for the Cape Bleue range. The rose blends Syrah and Mourvedre grown on light limestone soils along the Cote Bleue under Mediterranean influence, and is imported to the US by Gonzalez Byass.
Tasting Notes
Pale pink and crystal clear, with aromas of peach, rose petal and soft spice; the palate is crisp yet round, carrying red-fruit notes and vibrant acidity.
Pairing Recommendation
A warm-weather rose, best enjoyed well chilled.
