Yannick Meckert, born to a Burgundian mother and Alsatian father, has quickly become one of Alsace's most talked-about young vignerons, having worked alongside Patrick Meyer, Philippe Pacalet, Le Coste, Christian Binner, and Claus Preisinger.
Tasting Notes
Pinot Noir from 35-year-old vines rooted in blue schist at La Ferme des 9 Chemins in Reichsfeld; a week of whole-bunch maceration followed by aging in old Burgundy barrels, conical wood vats, and sandstone amphorae with no added sulfur gives morello cherry, red-berry jam, and a fresh, sapid minerality.
