Profile & Story
Founded in 1743, Moët & Chandon is the house behind Brut Impérial, its signature and most recognizable cuvée, first created in 1869. The blend draws on more than 100 different wines, 20-30% of which are reserve wines, combining Pinot Noir (30-40%), Meunier (30-40%) and Chardonnay (20-30%).
Tasting Notes
Golden straw-yellow color with green highlights; aromas of green apple and citrus fruit with mineral nuances and white flowers, layered with blond notes of brioche, cereal and fresh nuts; elegant and balanced on the palate.
Pairing Recommendation
The house recommends raw and lightly prepared dishes — sushi, sashimi, oysters and sea urchin, fruit carpaccio — or dishes balancing acidity and richness, such as avocado cream and caviar with lemon.
