Round Pond Estate is a family-owned winery in Rutherford, Napa Valley, founded by the MacDonnell family — named for Round Pond, a recreation area in West Point, NY, tied to the family's memories. The Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is hand-crafted from the Rutherford Estate and Oakville vineyards, planted on loose alluvial soils derived from the volcanic Vaca Mountains, typically blended with small amounts of Petit Verdot and Syrah and aged around 20 months in largely new French oak.
