Cascina del Torcc is a Barolo bottled by Terre del Barolo, a growers' cooperative founded in 1958 in Castiglione Falletto under the leadership of Arnaldo Rivera, the town's mayor at the time. He brought together 22 founding local growers seeking protection from middlemen and a volatile grape market; the cooperative quickly expanded to more than 300 member families, today representing growers across all eleven villages of the Barolo appellation. According to the wine's importer, this bottling is described as an exclusive Barolo reflecting the efforts of local farmers tending Nebbiolo vineyards with traditional methods, produced in the Barolo DOCG zone of Piedmont.
