Domaine Thevenot-Le Brun & Fils is based in Marey-lès-Fussey in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, where fifth-generation vigneron Nicolas Thevenot farms close to 30 hectares of vines on clay-limestone soils at 320 to 450 meters of altitude, all within a 2-kilometer radius of the domaine. The estate practices sustainable, HVE-certified farming and vinifies each wine, in its own words, in respect of the terroir, the grape variety, and the vintage. Alongside its Hautes Côtes de Nuits and Hautes Côtes de Beaune bottlings, the domaine produces a straightforward Bourgogne Chardonnay drawn from the same clay-limestone terroir and hands-on winemaking as its single-vineyard cuvées.
