Quinta de Monte Redondo is one of the oldest wine estates in Portugal's Douro region, and this Ruby Port is estate-bottled there. The Douro, established in 1756, is the world's oldest demarcated wine region, its steep, terraced schist vineyards along the Douro River yielding the indigenous grape varieties that give Port its concentration and structure. Monsieur Touton Selection, the wine's official importer, describes this Ruby Port as an exceptionally pure, rich, ripe and decadently sweet style of Porto possessing perfect provenance.
