Profile & Story

L'Armangia, farmed by the Giovine family (label: Ignazio Giovine) since 1850, has worked vineyards on the San Antonio hill in Canelli, Piedmont since 1988. This Vignali bottling comes mostly from some of their oldest vines in the Vignali-Rocche cru at 240-260m altitude within the Nizza DOCG zone, aged a minimum 18 months including 6 in oak per Nizza production rules.

Tasting Notes

Notes of vanilla and toasted almond over grilled berry fruit; mellow, wood-aged tannins typical of a Nizza Superiore-style Barbera.
