Distilleria Bordiga in Cuneo continues the Piedmont PGI tradition founded by Pietro Bordiga in 1888. The Vermouth di Torino Bianco PGI is built on a white wine base showcasing the characteristic sweet note of Moscato, infused with more than 30 botanicals including absinthe, marjoram, linden, mint, cardamom, bitter orange peel, Madagascar bourbon vanilla, pepper, gentian flowers, elderberry, sage, and cinchona calissaya. Production: 40–50 days of infusion plus 15–20 days of cellar rest (at ~15 °C for the Bianco). Awarded Gold at the 2024 Bartender Spirits Awards and 2024 London Spirits Competition. 18% ABV.
Tasting Notes
Intense yellow with amber notes. Vinous nose with floral and spicy aromas. The palate presents the typical sweet Moscato note up front, evolving into a persistent, pleasant bitterness.
Pairing Recommendation
Serve at 10–12 °C. Pair with blue and/or aged cheeses. Suggested cocktails: Pink Negroni and "Irish."
