Dolin Vermouth de Chambéry Dry NV
NV, Chambéry, Savoie, France
Profile & Story
Maison Dolin has produced Vermouth de Chambéry in the heart of the Savoie Alps since 1821. In the 1930s Chambéry earned France's only protected designation of origin for vermouth, with rules requiring production in Chambéry itself, maceration of real plants rather than pre-prepared infusions, and sweetening only via grape must, wine, and/or sugar. Dolin Dry macerates more than thirty Alpine plants, flowers, and spices in a delicate white wine base according to a family recipe guarded for over 200 years. 17.5% ABV.
