Profile & Story

Domaine Bellegarde was founded in 1920 by Gratien Labasse in Monein, the heart of the Jurançon appellation between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic, and is now run by his grandson Pascal Labasse with son Maxime. The estate farms 14 hectares of family vines in conversion to organic agriculture and describes itself as "regularly distinguished by prestigious guides and served on France's finest tables." Pierre Blanche is the gastronomic dry cuvée, a blend of 60% Petit Manseng and 40% Gros Manseng from first-pick parcels, hand-harvested mid-to-late October, then fermented and aged about 12 months in demi-muids on indigenous yeasts.

Tasting Notes

A structured, gastronomic dry Jurançon that balances weight and vibrancy — savory spice, citrus, and stone-fruit accents with a long, mineral, energetic finish; powerful and intricate nose with subtle, refined wood, coriander, menthol, sweet spices, and ripe fruit.

Pairing Recommendation

Seafood, white-fleshed fish, poultry, and herb-driven dishes.
