Profile & Story

Named for Jean-Baptiste de La Quintinye, the 17th-century botanist entrusted by Louis XIV with creating the kitchen and botanic gardens at the Château de Versailles, La Quintinye is crafted at the Villevert estate in the heart of the Charentais vineyards. The Rouge macerates a selection of 28 plants and spices in a blend of white wines and Pineau des Charentes Rouge — the use of Pineau as fortifying agent is what distinguishes La Quintinye from other vermouths. Awarded World's Best Red Vermouth at the USC in 2016 and 2022. 16.5% ABV.

Tasting Notes

Deep red with intense brilliance. Nose balanced and powerful, revealing licorice, plum, vanilla, and chocolate. Palate rich and powerful with caramelized, bitter vanilla and spice that linger on an extraordinarily long finish.

Pairing Recommendation

Neat or on the rocks; classic in Negroni, Americano, and Manhattan; signature Royal Negroni with 45 ml La Quintinye Rouge, Nouaison Gin, and orange bitters.
