Profile & Story
Selendi is a family winery founded by the Öngör family in Turkey's Aegean region, set in the Sarniç Valley above Akhisar (Manisa) at over 850 metres and run sustainably from a solar-powered facility with Italian oenologist Andrea Paoletti; its wines have drawn notice from Wine Advocate, Wine & Spirits and The Washington Post. ‘The Green’ is a Bordeaux-style blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 21% Petit Verdot, at 14.5% alcohol.
Tasting Notes
Dark and spicy, with notes of cherry, black currant and violet over a medium body — warmth without heat, and spice beneath abundant dark-berry fruit.
