Kavaklıdere's Côtes d'Avanos château, operating since 2003 in Cappadocia, farms 183 hectares using gravity-fed, pump-free processing and a combination of stainless steel and French oak. Narince is one of Turkey's principal native white grapes and is closely associated with this vineyard; here it is blended with a portion of Chardonnay.
Tasting Notes
Narince-based whites typically show citrus and orchard-fruit character — pear, apple and orange blossom — with a slightly oily texture reminiscent of Viognier and a touch of spice, balanced here by the added Chardonnay's fresh acidity.
