About the Wine
Bagratuni wines have the name of the Bagratuni dynasty of rulers. Winemaking and viticulture prospered in Armenia under their rule, from the 9th to the 11th centuries: new wineries and taverns were built, and numerous vineyards were planted. The label depicts the coat of arms of the dynasty. These are reserve wines aged in oak barrels. The blend includes Voskehat, Khatun Kharji, and Chenin Blanc. ABV 15%. Yield: 40-50 cwt/ha for Khatun Kharji and 80-90 cwt/ha for Chenin Blanc. Vinification: Each variety was fermented separately in barrels and in stainless steel, after then master blend was organized. Ageing: barrel aged in new and 1-year old Armenian oak barrels up to 6 months.
