About the Wine

The Shape is a Rosé co-fermented blend made of 80% Grenache and 20% Mourvédre. The fruit was grown at the Kærskov Vineyard in the Los Olivos District AVA of Santa Barbara County. The two varietals were picked on the same night and then gently crushed and soaked to extract color before pressing. The juice was cold fermented in stainless steel and aged for 6 months. This allowed us to capture the light but complex flavors that the two varietals have to offer. This is a great summer wine that should be enjoyed outside with the best of friends.

Tasting Notes

In the world of art, to “Shape” is to create, to mold, to take raw material and transform it into a masterpiece while reflecting certain influences and characteristics of its creator. Here we see this process done as Grenache and Mourvédre come together to shape this Rosé into a well-rounded and invigorating work of art. This wine is dry with good acidity, and displays a beautiful light pink hue. On the nose, aromas of pear, guava, fresh watermelon, grapefruit and hints of berries. Rich flavors of strawberry, peach, and lemon zest on the palate are followed by a smooth and bright finish.
