About the Wine
.5 tons of Muscat Canelli were hand harvested on 9/13 at 19 brix. The fruit was destemmed and the berries were hand-sorted before being cold-soaked in a 500L amphora for 7 days. Fermentation began, naturally and spontaneously. The fruit was basket-pressed after fermentation and an extended maceration of 5 weeks. Native bacteria carried out malolactic fermentation. Élevage: The wine was raised for 12 months before being hand-bottled, unfined and unfiltered. This wine was crafted without the use of added enzymes, water, acids, tannins or nutrients. SO2 Level: 49 mg/L
Tasting Notes
Aromas of tangerine, Meyer lemon and tropical-leaning strawberry-guava decorate the nose. The palate is grassy and laced in citrus peel flavors that are framed by an intriguing, very drinkable texture.
